Guidelines for Abstract Submission

We invite and welcome you to submit abstracts for the First International Conference & Expo on Food Analytics 2018 (IFA 2018) to be held in Munich (Erding) on 19-21 September 2018. All abstracts (Invited/Oral/Poster) are invited on the conference topics listed on this page and should be submitted using the online abstract submission system.

Please submit abstracts for paper/poster presentations using the online submission form. Your submission should be in the form of text, no more than 300 words long as described in the guidelines below.

Abstract MUST include the following:

Objectives: 50 words or fewer words with an emphasis on the study undertaken Methods: Briefly describe methods implemented throughout the study undertaken. List key steps carried out, tools used, and time frame.

Results: Summarize the results from the project and include sufficient evidence to support your study.

Conclusions: MUST ADDRESS the following questions:

After analysis of results, what is the opinion or judgment of the author(s)?

What new knowledge/technology gained from the project and what change(s) happened as a result?

What are the implications of the study?

Literature Reference (optional list one or two maximum)

Keywords (optional list of one or two maximum)

Please state in your submission whether your abstract is to be considered for a poster presentation, oral presentation or both and the topic it relates to.

The online abstract template MUST BE USED- .

Please ensure your entry is text only and does not include tables, charts or figures

The abstract should be a maximum of 300 words (approx. 2000 characters).

All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.

A decision on the acceptance of your abstract will be made as soon as possible.

Abstracts are not edited by the organisers and author corrections will not be accepted after the final submission deadline.

Abstracts should be checked for accuracy prior to submission.

Please note that the presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official Conference Abstract Book.

Only registered delegates may present abstracts, therefore at least one author should register in full to attend the conference and present the poster.

Please note that abstracts will not be accepted if the above guidelines are not adhered to. All submissions will only be accepted through the online submission portal, no other format will be accepted.
